Research: You can research a different tech from each college you own. I have 7 going right now and am moving through the tech pretty quickly. You can also spread out your gentlemen to different colleges to increase the research speed of certain techs. It is worth upgrading your other colleges since they will allow you to spawn more gentlemen which will increase your research speed.
Spies: Your spies only reveal the army units for the turn they are successful. The next turn the type of units are hidden again.
Thanks. That makes a huge difference!
I noticed there are a couple types of gentlemen...
Some are educational, some are religious, ect... In the research tab it shows how many researchers are in each college so if you can't tell by the discription you can move him in and check the tab to see if the gentlemen counter went up...
I have yet to figure out how the trade theater works or even get into it for that matter, I tend to neglect my Navy and build hordes of ground pounders... I've started out playing cautious of neutral countries stock piling troops on the borders so all the armies I had paid off... I got the intercept battles and went on to the crush the invading country in a couple turns which keeps me in the money and the Navy units get forgotten...
The only thing that pisses me off right now is that I could have sworn I read some where that once you complete the indipendence campaign you can use the US in the big campaign... but that does not appear to be true...
Anyone that can tell me what the greyed out squares over towns indicate? Also, whats a good way to unhide enemy rakes and how in the flying fuck do they keep assasinating my generals? I infiltrate and all that fun stuff but I don't get the option to assasinate enemy generals... fuckers...
