Agreed, it's going to be much better than mashing buttons on a small, and silly looking plastic guitar.

At least with this game, it will teach you to play to some extent, and can be used as a real guitar.

I think that is interesting that they are finally making a guitar game that requires you to actually play a guitar. It should be great for people wanting to learn to play a guitar. However, isn't a console game that uses a real guitar going to make it insanely expensive? Guitar Hero with both the game and the plastic fake guitar controller costs over $100. Just imagine what it might costs with a real guitar. That may turn a lot of parents off to the idea of buying it for their kids.

They have to create the line to make all those guitar hero/rock band guitars and that's all it can be used for. A 3/4 size guitar would be right for kids, it sounds like it just needs a slight modifcation from the style that Walmart already carries and so wouldn't need an entire new manufacturing line just for it. Those already cost around $100, so no big deal.

Based on the article, I wonder if I could just plug my strat in and mute the strings to use it with the game. That would be way cool.
