Hi there.  Been a while.  Lots new since I last logged in, I imagine.  We had a little one in March of 2016, Kathryn.  I'll try to scrounge up a picture to post.

Congrats!
My two kids just hit 8 and 6 and I can tell you from experience, being a dad gets more and more fun.

Civilization Series / Re: Civ VI Expansion

So....late reply, I know, but I enjoy the expansion.

I'll purposely get a dark age so I can get the extra bonus of 3 benefits at once.  I really like the Golden Age War that you can declare with almost no warmonger penalties.  I don't have to fight the whole world at once when I've got that ability.

Loyalty is hit or miss.  When you're conquering another civ, in order to sack multiple cities in one war, you have to use governors and plan your conquest in order to minimize the chance of a newly conquered civ reverting back.

General Strategy / Re: Crusader Kings II

Update for those of yall that still play Crusader Kings.

There is a mod called "After the End Fan Fork" that is amazing.
Post apocalyptic America with all sorts of different groups and tweaked mechanics.
My big suggestion is to avoid the Profile Packs since they can screw up the interface and make it to where you can't interact with certain characters.
Just use the main MOD.

Most folks will play as their home town I figure.
I am currently the Voodoo King of Pensacola and just started clearing Rastafarians out of the Holy Sites in Haiti. From Ruston to Jacksonville, my word is law.
The Pope of St. Louis declared a Crusade against me for Louisiana but by using mercenary elephant troops from the Cincinnati Zoo, I was able to crush them.
The Russians have invaded California, but that is too far away to matter much.
I have had fun watching the Aggie Republic and the Longhorn Oligarchy battle for dominance in Texas.
The Mormons and the Comanche tribes are murdering each other, but eventually one will win and start looking for new victims.
But the most pressing issue is the Holy Evangelical Columbian Confederacy to the north, that has chewed up the Kingdoms of Old Dominion and the Rust Belt to the North and will be looking to spread south as soon as I show weakness.

Here is a link to the steam community if anyone is interested.

Upcoming Releases / SoulCalibur 6 on Steam
« Last post by IceGhost on August 05, 2018, 08:57:06 pm »
I just found out today that SoulCalibur 6 is going to be coming out on Steam as well as consoles in October.  This is probably my favorite fighting game.  Don't know how many other folks we have that are into fighting games, but since this is going to be on Steam I was kind of wondering if anyone else might being picking this one up.

Upcoming Releases / Re: Destiny 2 on Battle.net
« Last post by JeraldKaplan on August 01, 2018, 10:39:52 pm »
Being an active player on XB1, I don't think it will do well on PC. PC players will plow through the campaign it like its nothing (not that story was ever a big thing) and I imagine phen375 changed my life the PvP will be a joke and overall time better spent in battlefield or COD where player count is more entertaining.

I've played Destiny 2 on the console as well as PC, and yes, controls are not that easy in the PC, but for the guys that don't own consoles, the game is still playable and enjoyable on PCs.
