That sounds way to cool to pass up! Thanks for posting this Ded :)

Lafayette can be a major player along the coast. Very good duchy.
You are going to love it.

Another tidbit.
If start your game as Thomas Wayne, the Duke of Gotham, when he dies you play as Bruce Wayne, who gets special character events.
Yes. He is freaking Batman.
There are other folks that get special events but I haven't dove too deep into the Reddit to find out who they all are.

*peeks in*

Hi there.  Been a while.  Lots new since I last logged in, I imagine.  We had a little one in March of 2016, Kathryn.  I'll try to scrounge up a picture to post.

My two kids just hit 8 and 6 and I can tell you from experience, being a dad gets more and more fun.

Update for those of yall that still play Crusader Kings.

There is a mod called "After the End Fan Fork" that is amazing.
Post apocalyptic America with all sorts of different groups and tweaked mechanics.
My big suggestion is to avoid the Profile Packs since they can screw up the interface and make it to where you can't interact with certain characters.
Just use the main MOD.

Most folks will play as their home town I figure.
I am currently the Voodoo King of Pensacola and just started clearing Rastafarians out of the Holy Sites in Haiti. From Ruston to Jacksonville, my word is law.
The Pope of St. Louis declared a Crusade against me for Louisiana but by using mercenary elephant troops from the Cincinnati Zoo, I was able to crush them.
The Russians have invaded California, but that is too far away to matter much.
I have had fun watching the Aggie Republic and the Longhorn Oligarchy battle for dominance in Texas.
The Mormons and the Comanche tribes are murdering each other, but eventually one will win and start looking for new victims.
But the most pressing issue is the Holy Evangelical Columbian Confederacy to the north, that has chewed up the Kingdoms of Old Dominion and the Rust Belt to the North and will be looking to spread south as soon as I show weakness.

Here is a link to the steam community if anyone is interested.

Game did so well that Paradox said "Let's make this permanent."

Paradox bought Harebrained Studios yesterday with the intent of making them their Turn Based Strategy Game Division.
So the studio stays intact but now with the financial and business logistics backing of Paradox.

All good news if you were hoping for more expansions and new titles from the Battletech/Shadow Run universes.

IceGhost is hedging his bets with this "Best show since <insert show not as good as The Expanse>"

Best Sci-fi series ever on TV.  :rockband:

Firefly was better but not by much.

I want a show that is only Amos and Jayne from Firefly.

I may load it up.
It was a lot of fun building things.
And hunting whores for my brothel.

The Nutty Cutthroat Mercenary Company is jobbing their way through the Periphery right now.

Very fun game. Building/Capturing/Salvaging new mech chassis is a bit addictive.

Anyone who was on the fence, get it.

I ended up grabbing an HP Omen.

Intel i7-7700
with a Radeon RX580 and 12G of RAM.

Sounds like it is just like StarDruids except it has the Radeon model of the Nvidia 1060.

Got it for just a shade under 1k, which was actually 50 bucks cheaper than I found the same model for on amazon.
I made the sales guy stand there and watch me while I price checked on amazon.

Any suggestions on the minimum specs I should be looking for in a gaming laptop?

Trying to keep the price tag under a grand.

The fact that Paradox is attached as the publisher makes my dirty bits extra sensitive.

Paradox has yet to be involved in something that I didn't love.
And Harebrained made Shadowrun Returns, which I loved.......

I guess it is time to crack the tower open.
Hope it is just the video card and not the motherboard that has gone wonky on me.

The new Battletech game looks really fun.

Kind of XCOMish.

I am currently between video cards (too disinterested to go through the trouble of fixing my PC).
If yall say this is a winner, it might get me off my PS4.

I only eat things with a higher IQ than myself.

Luckily, that includes most vegetables and quite a few fruits.

I bought it too. I will have a read on the Kindle when I get home.

It didn't charge me any money. Said it was on sale for .00
